Dead Milee-Mo Magazine caught up with the pop-punkers about their EP, Priorities![]() e-Mo: First off, please can you introduce yourselves to our readers? DM: Olly - Singer, Ed - Guitar, Harry - Guitar, Nick - Bass and James - Drums/Backing Vox e-Mo: How did you guys meet? DM: Umm. well Harry and Ed met at school, and they formed the band with a previous member called Adam. Eventually James who is Harry’s brother joined to play drums instead of Harry. After a while Ed moved schools, to the same school as Nick and Olly, and then when they kicked out bassist/singer Adam, Olly and Nick joined to replace him and then Harry joined as second guitar. Complicated I know! Photo:

DM: It was really just luck, Harry and Ed wrote down lots of names and that was the one that stood out the most. e-Mo: Who are your main musical influences? DM: Other Pop Punk bands such as All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, Paramore etc e-Mo: Which band would you most like to tour with? DM: Ha! Don't really know; umm I suppose we would really like to tour with the bands that influence us. e-Mo: What's been your best and worst gig so far? DM: Best gig was our last joiners show, it was really atmospheric and just a generally good show. I'd say our worst would be when you play to no one, which has happened and wasn’t fun. e-Mo: You currently have an EP out called Priorities. Are you hoping to release an LP soon? DM: Well you never know, we have no plans to do so as such, but we’re sure in time to come we shall do. At the moment though we are just trying to record demos and give them away for free, so everyone can have our music for free. e-Mo: What's your favourite song on the EP and why? DM: It varies between each band member, however we'd say that the song which is the majority favourite would be the Future, purely because it is really fun and catchy and when we play it live it always creates a great atmosphere. e-Mo: When you're rich and famous, who do you reckon will become the biggest diva in the band? DM: Hahaha, we hope we're rich and famous one day. The biggest diva will be Nick! e-Mo: Where do you see Dead Mile in 5 years time? DM: Well, we're not sure really. A lot can happen in 5 years; obviously we'd like to be playing bigger stages with bigger bands, and have a much more established fan base. e-Mo: Where are you guys performing this year, so we know where to catch you? Well we will be performing a lot in the south, Southampton, Bournemouth, Bristol, Yeovil, London etc. e-Mo: And finally, the burning question: Peanut butter - smooth or crunchy? DM: Well we all disagree, so a mixture. Dead Mile's EP "Priorities" is available on iTunes, Napster and Rhapsody. To find out more about the band, visit their MySpace page www.myspace.com/deadmile. |
