You Me At Six Interview - Josh Franceschi

e-Mo Magazine caught up with the YMAS vocalist for a quick chat about the band and their upcoming tour with Angels & Airwaves

e-Mo: You Me At Six – great name! How did you come up with it?

JF: Hey whats up! We were making Friday night arrangements, I stupidly suggested using it as a name, and, well here we are!

e-Mo: How's the album coming along? (and do you have a title for it yet?)

JF: It's coming along very nicely. We've just completed the pre-production stage, so all the songs are done. It took a while for it to feel like we'd got the best out of ourselves but now we've got a record we're proud of. We do have an album title but it's a BIG FAT secret.

e-Mo: Which of your songs do you like to perform the most?

JF: Probably 'The Rumour' or 'Save It For The Bedroom' but that’s just cos' it seems the kids seem to prefer them. I think we've got to the stage where we enjoy playing all of our songs live, so that’s really cool.

e-Mo: You're about to tour with AVA ; that's gotta be pretty exciting. You looking forward to it?

JF: I can't wait! The venues are huge and I can't wait for us to get our groove on, it's going to be tight. Plus there's that dude, umm, Tom something...oh yer, our idol!!! So I am itching for it to come, it's the exact reason we got serious over this band, to achieve the so called impossible; we're doing it and we've never been happier.

e-Mo: If you could tour with one band for the rest of time, who would it be?

JF: Personally it would be The Audition. We toured with them in the UK and they are like our other half or so to speak. We love them and miss them and we can't wait to tour state side with them.

e-Mo: On your MySpace page you mention you had a funny tour story about Dundee. Care to elaborate?

JF: I honestly can't. I'll throw some clues out though. Kentucky, angry thug, ketchup, Bobby.

e-Mo: Who in the group is the most diva-like with their backstage demands?

JF: Our TM Bobby S, poor guy, all he wants is some Diet coke.

e-Mo: Who would win in a fight: You Me At Six or Superman?

JF: Lois Lane.

e-Mo: Where do you picture YMAS being in 5 years time?

JF: If we're still a band I'd be stoked!!

e-Mo: Finish this sentence: You Me At Six are like...

JF: marmite, you either love us, or pretend to hate us, BOOYERRR.
