Hold your hands up as if you care!

When it comes to music, the e-Mo team are as divided as Blink 182. So it takes a band of epic proportions to earn all our love and respect, but that's exactly what pop-pups YMA6 have done. e-Mo magazine caught up with the boys in Northampton, for a night of pure emo-tion.

Although not the biggest venue they've played recently (the crowd was squished together like a pair of double D's in an A-cup Wonder Bra), YMA6 took to the stage like they were headlining at Wembley. And with the level of noise their fans were making, we could have easily been there!

Despite being relatively new on the scene, with only a couple of singles under their belt, YMA6 have already garnered an impressive fan base from consumers and critics alike (In 2007 they were nominated for a Kerrang! Award, and will be appearing at Give It A Name this May).

The band were on top form all night, rocking the hell out their hits including Save It For The Bedroom and The Rumour. Their Cute Is What We Aim For vibe may not be breaking new ground, but YMA6 certainly make great music to mosh out too, such as their new single If I Were In Your Shoes (released on 17 March). 

The guys also really know how to command a stage, which isn't surprising as they've had plenty of time to practice after touring with Paramore, theAudition and Elliot Minor. They were barely phased when they experienced “technical difficulties” part way through the set, with lead singer Josh chatting away and keeping the audience pumped until the problem was sorted. (He only lost his composure once all night, when he tore his “new favourite t-shirt” after some rather vigorous moves. Fancy selling it on eBay? We'll put in a bid!)

You Me At Six's catchy pop-hooks and super-cute looks are a winning combination. It's absolutely criminal that these guys have yet to be signed, but with their popularity ever growing and their debut album due out this summer, we know a deal won't be far off.
